About
This training provides staff, volunteers, trainee counsellors and support workers with the skills and understanding needed to work confidently and safely with neurodiverse clients, including those with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and sensory processing differences. The focus is trauma-informed, person-centred, and sensitive to the lived experiences of neurodiverse adults accessing emotional support, counselling and recovery services. By understanding how neurodiversity impacts communication and emotional regulation, participants will learn to adapt their approach, create accessible environments, and avoid unintentional re-traumatisation for vulnerable clients.
