About
Sexual Violence Awareness training equips staff and volunteers to safely support survivors of rape, sexual assault, and childhood sexual abuse (CSA) without causing re-traumatisation or emotional harm. It is essential because sexual violence is both high-prevalence and under-reported, and survivors often present with complex trauma. Because abuse survivors can be highly vulnerable, frontline workers need the knowledge, confidence, and skills to respond in a trauma-informed, sensitive and safe way. This program covers prevalence figures, trauma responses, safe disclosure handling, legal safeguarding pathways, and worker wellbeing to prevent vicarious trauma.
