Service Description
Modern slavery is more prevalent than many people realise, yet it often remains hidden. Every year, thousands of people across the UK, including both British nationals and migrants, are identified as victim-survivors of modern slavery. We are pleased to welcome Amy, who will be delivering this informative and engaging training session. The training is designed to increase awareness, help participants identify the signs of exploitation, and build confidence in responding appropriately and sensitively to those affected. During this session, you will learn about: Types of modern slavery Risk indicators and warning signs Current legislation and the law Reporting mechanisms and pathways Safeguarding responsibilities Available support options for victim-survivors This training is suitable for professionals, volunteers, and anyone working with individuals who may be vulnerable to exploitation. Learning Outcomes By the end of the session, participants will be able to: Recognise the different forms of modern slavery. Identify key indicators that may suggest exploitation. Understand relevant legislation and reporting procedures. Respond to concerns with confidence and sensitivity. Support and safeguard victim-survivors appropriately. Signpost individuals to specialist support services.
