A NEW 'Silver Pride' coffee group, for older LGBTQ+ residents aged 50 and over has started. Offering a small and friendly drop-in session that will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at The Mill Arts Centre, Spiceball Park Road, OX16 5QE. Contact: Jackie 07827 235 408
LGBTQ+ support The COVID pandemic affected everyone. However, those who are LGBTQ+ are disproportionately affected by poor mental health, social isolation (1) and access to healthcare (2). We want to try and change this. Source: (1) LGBT Foundation & (2) NHS England Healthcare equality LGBTQ+ NEW support and social group In response to this continuing inequality we want to aspire to offer a face to face monthly support and social that is Banbury based. This will hope to take the form of a peer to peer group, it will be a safe space and will aim to ensure that information is provided that can address inequalities as well as provide a talking social space with access to resources that can help to combat loneliness and isolation in those aged 25 - 49. We will meet and greet to support people and welcome you attending; and you can call before if you want to find our more.
