CAP is an award-winning charity that offers free, face-to-face debt counselling to all, irrespective of age, gender, faith or background. Our personal and long-term approach empowers people to get out debt and learn budgeting skills with great success.
Because a high proportion come with mental health issues we provide a holistic service. Clients meet a friendly local debt coach in their own home, can benefit from the emotional and practical support of a befriender, and will be given practical options out of debt tailored to them by a well-established national charity.
Christians Against Poverty is one of the main contributors to Martin Lewis's Mental Health and Debt guide.
Here in Oxford we have taken on more than 350 cases since opening in June 2014, of which 65 have now become debt-free, either through a repayment plan or insolvency, guided by our team locally and at head office in Bradford. Contacting CAP has been the spur for many others to find their own way out of problem debt.
Prospective clients should phone the enquiries team on 0800 328 0006 to book a visit.
Do give me a ring if you'd like to find out more. I attach our debt help flier.
Here is a link to the same flier online.
Best regards,
